TRANSFER BUZZ: SALAH’S POTENTIAL SERIE A REUNION AMONG PREMIER LEAGUE MOVES

by Denis Campbell

The January transfer window has sparked early speculation, with Mohamed Salah emerging as a surprise name linked to a return to Italy. Reports indicate Roma are exploring the possibility of bringing the Liverpool forward back to the Stadio Olimpico, though any serious move is anticipated for the summer window. Should Salah remain with the Reds, he could soon be joined by a new defensive addition, with Liverpool reportedly closing in on a deal for Club Brugge’s Ecuadorian centre-back Joel Ordóñez.

In other Premier League circles, attention is turning to Conor Gallagher. The England international has seen limited action at Atlético Madrid this season, putting several top-flight clubs on alert as they seek to bolster their midfield options. A significant fee would be required to secure his services.

There is also growing talk of a potential major departure from Manchester United, with senior figures reportedly considered available to generate funds for a squad overhaul. This has led to identified targets, including a proven striker from Crystal Palace and a defender from France’s Ligue 1.

Arsenal, leading the domestic title race, are said to be weighing up an ambitious move for a highly-rated young talent from Real Madrid, initially on a loan basis. The deal would carry a substantial option for a permanent transfer.

West Ham United are actively seeking to strengthen their forward line, with moves for attackers from Portugal and Italy believed to be in the works. Meanwhile, Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Jørgen Strand Larsen is attracting concrete interest, with Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace monitoring the situation as they look to add firepower.

Further down the divisions, a promising Algerian midfielder is at the centre of a multi-club pursuit, while Newcastle United are preparing an approach for a young French defender as the transfer activity begins to intensify across the board.
