SALAH SIGNALS LIVERPOOL DEPARTURE AFTER PUBLICLY CRITICIZING CLUB TREATMENT

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has delivered a stunning public rebuke of the club, strongly suggesting his time at Anfield is coming to an abrupt and unhappy conclusion. The Egyptian star, visibly frustrated, claimed he has been made a scapegoat for the team’s faltering title defense and feels “thrown under the bus” by the hierarchy.

Salah’s comments follow his omission from the starting lineup for a third consecutive Premier League match, a 3-3 draw away to Leeds United. The 32-year-old expressed profound disappointment, stating it was the first time in his career he had faced such a sustained spell on the bench.

“I have done so much for this club down the years,” Salah stated. “Now I’m sitting on the bench and I don’t know why. It seems very clear that someone wanted me to get all of the blame.” While he declined to name individuals, his remarks pointed to a severe breakdown in his relationship with manager Arne Slot and the club’s decision-makers.

The situation casts a major shadow over next weekend’s home fixture against Brighton & Hove Albion. Salah hinted it could be his final appearance for the Reds before he departs for the Africa Cup of Nations with Egypt. “In my head, I’m going to enjoy that game because I don’t know what is going to happen now,” he said, suggesting a January transfer is a distinct possibility.

Salah, who was the PFA and FWA Player of the Year last season as Liverpool won the league, feels betrayed after signing a lucrative two-year contract extension just months ago. “I got a lot of promises and so far I am on the bench for three games,” he said. “It is not acceptable for me.”

The forward, who has only scored four league goals this campaign, acknowledged criticism of his form but argued he deserves more protection and respect from the club he has served for over seven years. “If this was somewhere else, every club would protect its player,” he contended, comparing his treatment unfavorably to that of other elite strikers during goal droughts.

With consistent interest from the Saudi Pro League looming in the background, Salah’s future appears to lie away from Merseyside. While he insisted he does not regret re-signing, his emotional outburst paints a picture of a fractured relationship that may be beyond repair, setting the stage for a dramatic and acrimonious mid-season exit for one of the club’s modern icons.
